Once upon a time there was a fuzzy-headed Doctor who very much liked being outside. He liked the sun and rain and especially the night time but his favourite setting by far was a nice snowy evening ( Read more... )

Lucky enough for Eight, Five particularly enjoyed these sort of evenings. He's always been fascinated by nature, especially since it is something so powerful and beautiful all at once.

And this seems to be a trait he'll never lose through regenerations.

He gathers up a little bit of the snow in his palms and tosses it up at the one perched atop the TARDIS. "Surely you're awake up there," He's grinning before stuffing hands in his pockets and looking around again. He wouldn't mind staying here for a while.

Getting hit was a little unexpected and it nearly brings him off his perch. Luckily though, Eight has somehow managed to avoid falling over and getting to know the ground a little better than preferred.

"Hey now," he calls back, laying down so that he maylook at his younger self upside down. "I did nothing to deserve that, thank you very much."

"Ah, but what you percieve and what I percieve are, undoubtedly, very different in this state. Not that it matters, though, because I'm sure you already know my part of that ordeal."

There's a smile set (one that the Doctor only seems to bring out) before he decides to manage joining the other male. And when he's sitting at the edge of the TARDIS, he looks over at the other.

"Are you sure that she doesn't mind you using her as a lounge chair?" He gives the time-traveler a good pat with his words.

Please ignore the huge grin on his face as he watches Five join him on the top of the TARDIS. Also, don't mind the slight hug and a head on his shoulder.

Yes Five, you have just been made into a pillow.

"I'm pretty sure she doesn't and if she does, I'm sure I'll think of a way to make it up to her. Hopefully."

When he rises in the morning, his body is reluctant to shift into consciousness. Mornings are certainly not this Doctor's cup of tea at all.

However, he's distracted from grumpy morning thoughts by the curly haired Doctor he's kept his arms around through the night. Yawning lightly, he recollects the events from the night before. Pressing a kiss to the top of that curly head, he shifts slightly to gain a more comfortable position.

He's not going to be terribly lovey this morning, as the tea has long ago worn off and he's just not companions with this idea of 'morning'. Aah, either way, he's closing his eyes again-- not sleeping, just existing.

At first, Eight exhibits no plans of stirring, really he's got almost no reason to since he knows that the other Doctor will be there, no matter what.

But something tugs at him, forces him to crack open one lid and peer up at the other before he shifts around to give a quck kiss beneath the male's chin.

"Mornin'," he says sleepily, as one hand reaches up to play with the other's collar. "Sleep well?"

Five could feel the other moving beside him, but the kiss to his chin certainly takes him off guard. Again, there was thought of reprimand but he decides to let it pass. Opening his eyes, finally, he nods, stifling yet another yawn.

"Mm, I slept just fine, yes." Actually, perhaps the best he's slept in a good while. "What about you?"

He lifts a hand and brushes the hair away from the older one's face.

"Wonderfully," he informs without hesitation. "Just wonderfully."

Leaning into the other's touch, he tries repressing a yawn but fails rather miserably. Really, he could go right back to sleep but it would be rude to fall asleep not once but three separate times on the other, even if he was permitted to do so once.

Instead he just lets the hand that had been playing with the collar fall around the younger's middle.

'Thank you," he mumbles then, not quite looking at the other. "For...Everything."

Five won't deny the small flutter his hearts give when their lips meet again. Returning the soft kiss, there's even a hint of a smile afterward.

Eyes flicker closed when fingertips meet his jawline and his skin feels like it burns beneath the touch, like he's memorizing that sensation alone.

Letting out a light sigh, he moves his arms so that they are wrapped about the other man's chest, holding him close, safe. Even the TARDIS seems to give a machine's version of a low hum of approval at the two.

There's a smile and his voice is soft, even whispered right back against that curly hair, "She really likes you, she does."

He has this soaring feeling, and he knows it will have to end, too, but he stays for now. Lives in it, breathes it, feels it and shares it with someone who befits honors higher than his imagination.

He loves those smiles, loves them more than he could ever say. They make his hearts flutter, make him want to do everything in his power to create more of them because really, the other Doctor doesn't smile nearly as much as he deserves to.

At first he doesn't even hear the other's words, being far too concerned with the arms that have come to wrap around him instead. Eventually he'll look up though, grinning. "Yeah? I'm glad." A hand moves to stroke the floor of the study a moment before it is returned to it's prior position. "The fondness is mutual."

"I think I might like you more though," he adds, shifting so that their noses might touch for a split second. "She's wonderful and all but well yes..."
