Reusing an "exposed" roll

Jul 04, 2012 14:36

SO. I'm still very new to Holgaing and I accidentally put in a roll of film upside-down. I kept rolling and rolling and wondering why the hell I wasn't seeing the numbers for the first shot, and then finally I got up to the end of the roll and realized what I'd done. Is there any way to load the roll back in where I can actually use it? Thanks.

you can reuse it if you manage to put it back in the dark, but i wouldn't do it. it's going to come out quite weird as is, i bet you'll enjoy what you see if you give it some time to appreciate it.

I've done it many times, for various reasons. It is going to be a bit loose but usable.

But- there is no way to put the film upside down. If you inastalled it with the emulsion towards the back and rolled thru it, it was probably partially exposed.

I was going to say that too. There's only one way to put your film, unless you set it so that it comes from behind when in place. That means that the emulsion is facing the back and getting all the light from the little window, which in turn means that it's mostly exposed.
