I wish dreadfully that I could have come, darling, but they wouldn't have let me off this week if I had. I miss you quite an awful lot, and I'm very much looking forward to staying with you.

You should take your leave if you need to. It'd be good for you, traveling without a destination, as long as you come back to us in the end. And who knows, maybe you could visit a particular someone who seems to miss you.
