[Alex understands the grim resolution you're fighting with, Anders and he even hears the distortion in your voice as Justice fights against his wounds with you.]
So .. stubborn ..
[It's not said harshly, but with an air of undeniable fondness. But Alex knows that it's not enough .. he can feel a soft of detachment from himself as the Mage continues to work furiously to stabilize him.
It's getting harder to breathe as another round of coughing wracks his body, leaving him wheezing painfully.]
Anders .. please ..
[He both regrets and doesn't regret calling the man here to him. He shouldn't be wasting the energy to try to heal him, but at least Alex wouldn't have to die alone.
So strange to find himself coming to terms with something so extreme as death.]

[So he keeps saying it. He says "no" until he's hoarse, and the magic fades to nothing more than a flicker of light. His shoulders sag, his whole body trembling with the effort of simply kneeling there. Even Justice is saying it's done. That there's nothing more he can do.]
[But he doesn't stop.]
[Because it's not all right.]
[It is someone's fault. That woman. That carrier. She knew what she was, and she kept it secret. She poisoned the people of the keep -- the man in front of him in particular. She knew and she did nothing to prevent it
