So, today was not fun. I don't particularly like going to the dentist, but because I get such horrible tartar build-up on my teeth, I get to go every four months. It wasn't too awful, though, and I do like how my teeth feel afterwards. Chemotherapy is hard on them, kind of like how it is for the rest of me ( Read more... )

Oh man... not a fun day.

Although I have to admit that when I had my MRI last year, I did have a moment in there where I started thinking "what would happen if there was an earthquake right now?"

BTW, I took a peek out at the Reno page on Weather Underground and you actually had a whole string of earthquakes around that time -- six above 2.5 between 3:47 and 4:51. You probably felt the 4.1 and the 4.2

Still, that had to be a bit freaky... I'm not particularly claustrophobic, either, but being stuck in a tube like that for so long can really get to a person.

The MRI was long. 3 1/2 hours in the tube. I'm only mildly claustrophobic, but that was a little long.

Holy crap! That's just horrible.

Gah. I need to get my teeth cleaned, but there's not a dentist that's covered in my area... so I have to wait until I can pay.

Sorry your day sucked.

I love going to the dentist because my teeth feel so lovely afterward and I love having good dental hygiene. *is a dork* I'm sorry it's not so much fun for you, though.

What did they need to see that took 3 and a half hours in the MRI? My goodness! I spent two hours in one, but that was for a functional MRI study that had me doing tasks while they mapped things (I was in the control group of the study).

I agree, an MRI machine seems like a very good place to be in an earthquake. Those things are definitely not collapsing easily.
