I've seen no less than four different LJ icons pertaining to the Allsorts Saga. You should perhaps devote a post in this journal to all the icons made for it, for those who wish to remember it forever in pictorial format?

Hahahah, that really would be madness.

Your icon is awesome. :D

I totally didn't know there was a journal dedicated to this! I just Googled "Allsorts saga" and found it linked from some blog about sweets. And I'm dead chuffed that you used my icon :)

Now my wife is going to be despairing about me in the following weeks that it will take me to stop giggling about this at random unexpected moments.

*sneaks in from via a link found on the dark, undiscovered regions of the internet*

Of course he's not causing a rumpus dear. It's more of a fracas, really.

(C'mon. No Terry Pratchett fan is going to pass up that opening.)

What a darling man hath spawned you. I quite love him. He lights up my day.

*sneaks away again*

Do you know what book that quote is from, or is it a running gag? 'Cos it was the first thing I thought of, too. Have in the past tried googling the phrase, to find the full quote, but unsuccessfully.

"Have you heard about the fracas in (?) street?"
"Fracas? I head it was a rumpus"
"It got worse"

It's from Terry Pratchett's "The Truth", starring William De Worde. =D
