Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they not out to get me.

Lets be brutally honest Google and Facebook are not online to provide you and me with a service, they're online to make a profit, and as such cannot be trusted to look after your privacy concerns.

A few little suggestions to make your online experience a little safer.

1. Get a decent

really? huh...I never knew. You're a plethora of unexpected knowledge. Opinions on Firefox? I run Windows 7 on my computers. Any issues with that one?
As far as searching on Google while logged into gmail...If my homepage is my iGoogle page, that automatically logs me into gmail, right?

Yup.

It means google is returning results based on your history, location and mail contents.

I'm not a huge fan of Firefox, to be brutally honest its looks like a flavour of IE that has a decent implementation of tabbed browsing.
