i know you said single fave quote but i have two, so here they are:
You can't outwit fate by standing on the sidelines and placing little side bets on the outcome of life. Either you wade in and risk everything to play the game, or you don't play at all. And if you don't play, you can't win. -Matthew Farrel, Paradise
“By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third, by experience, which is the most bitter.”
The first one i read from one of my favorite books. the second one i got from a philosophy class ^_^
For me, it's a toss up of three. I can't really choose just one.
1) 'The moment you stop trying is the moment you begin to fail'
That, to me, is so necessary for myself to remember, especially when things seem the hardest.
2) Life is what you make of it.
I don't know if I heard this somewhere before, and that's why, but I incorporated it into one of my stories because it struck a cord with me.
3) 'We all got our masks sweetheart; some just got more than others.'
This was a line from one of my earliest ficlets from the Four Brothers fandom. It's my favorite line and I find myself relating to the idea often enough.
