A man who dresses up like a woman can't be all bad

mirabrito, theirreverent, Tigger and I just went to see The Mystery of Irma Vep which was chock full of gothic hilarity. Mira and I cracked up at odd moments, when we managed to catch a particularly obscure reference. I thought Oliver Driver was on stilts but no, he was just really really tall.

Not to mention that Michael Hurst is also really quite short. A great actor, though. We saw him in Macbeth a couple of years ago and I was really impressed - I think you see more of people's talents when they're acting right in front of you without all the magic background stuff of TV.

Oh I knew you would be squee about the show. I was cracking up the entire way through. The insanity of the costume changes only increased as the show went on. I particularly liked Lady Enid shouting for help after she was attacked and the "coming" from off stage.

Kind Hearts and Coronets
One actor, Alec Guiness, plays every member of a very large aristocratic family. S'good.

I once saw Oliver Driver and Craig Parker (oh, and Michael Hurst was the Player King now that I think on't) in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. That was truly fine.
