Guilt

I haven't worked at all this weekend, and I feel guilty. As ridiculous as that sounds. I haven't even logged into the work's network (as I can do from home - the 'wonders' of modern technology) like I'd normally do ( Read more... )

Good Lord. I've done about 2 hours overtime in the last year - since I came off of the delightful SIPP stuff. I've got deadlines, but they're all manageable - and I'm ahead of the work I've promised I'd get done.

Aaargh, typed a big reply, the teh 'net ate it. Evil 'net.

Suffice to say, we have approx. an implementation every month from November to June, so it's pretty busy. With my promo comes added responsibility - I'm one of the key people in the team now - so I've a huge heap of stuff I have to try and keep on top of, as well as supporting the less experienced people in the team now.

There's always room for you to come back!

I love Cobol. I can do my job without thinking, mostly.

And despite its simplicities, you'd be amazed how many people code it badly.
