Onboard the new USS Enterprise...There could be little denying the sheer mess of temporal energies that had been involved in this attempt to return four people to their native universe; there was quite a bit of chroniton radiation floating around, though of course, no one would know what it was for another century or so. That wasn't counting the rest of the more humdrum radiation, twisted spots in subspace, or anything else ( ... )

Just a few minutes later, Nurse Chapel and an assistant arrive in Transporter Room 3, and hurry to the side of the unconscious duplicate. Chapel checks him for injuries and finds none visible, nor any obvious cause for his current comatose condition.

Great. More mysterious ailments. "Let's get him to sickbay," she says.

Well, the kid is certainly not putting up a fight; likely he's just suffering from the same scrambling that the original Scotty got going through that nightmare of a transport. Well, that and the whole shock of being created twenty-seven years younger and a whole universe out of sync. That'd do anyone in.

Yes, sickbay is definitely the best place for him right now.
