I am assuming "Under the Sky of Blue" is 'Pod nebom golubym", right?
Why did you not let him hang out with you? My parents in similar situation allowed me to stay and these are some of my fondest memories of the adult life worth striving for:)
Yes, "Pod nebom golubym," but he found an English translation of the lyrics on the Internet and prefers to sing in English.
I mainly did not let him stay with us because we were going white water rafting and had to get up early the following morning. But I am also a firm believer in "adult-only" times. Some things that I want to be able to say to my friends while sipping wine at midnight are not for 12-year old ears. :) Though I do hope that the PG version of us is still worth striving for. :)
And that's where we diverge :-). I am trying really hard to think what I wouldn't say (or will not let other people say) in front of Isaac. The only things that come to mind are stories of other kids' various struggles (medical, social and so on) and personal things about teachers. Other than that, anything that is being discussed in a large adult company is a fair game.
Чудесный пост, приятно читать. Правда, петь с детьми (у костра) - одно из самых больших удовольствий. И подслушать потом, как одна дама говорит дочке - надо же, ты все папины песни знаешь.
