How do you feel about fans of ships you like hating on one another?

It's...absolutely ridiculous. Both in the Us/Uk vs. FrUk sense, and the infighting in ships. I realize there are things people don't like--hell, there are things I loathe with the fiery passion of ten thousand burning suns--but there's no reason to belittle or hate the people who like the things you happen to dislike. Or you hate them because they don't view a ship in the same way you do. Personally, I don't dislike anyone unless your personality, you yourself, somehow rub me the wrong way.

Kinda noticed that myself. I'm only on the benign USUK side (I don't like to ship FrUk romantically--bromance is okay) so I don't get into the fights unless it's taken to the USUK community. ^^;

Yeah, it sort of sucks because apparently I can't like both at the same time. /Kanye shrug. I never got that. I understand why people monoship (and I'm pretty monoshippy outside of the Hetalia and Persona 3 fandom) but I don't understand the people who consider the one thing they do ship the ultimate pairing ever, and all other pairings are inferior. Yeahno.

What really baffles me is the infighting. It's like GUYS, WE'RE ON THE SAME TEAM. WHERE'S THE LOVE FOR THE PAIR?

Pokemon. I think. I can't remember liking/buying merch of anything that obsessively before. Ha ha, it was most '90s kids' first fandom XD

If you think of it that way, then it was my first fandom too! But the first show where I actually shipped characters and wrote fanfiction (I didn't even know what fanfiction or "shipping" were at the time, gasp) was Digimon. POKEMON'S RIVAL ;o;

"alliteration" is a literary term that refers to words that have the same consonant sound. Like "green grass" or "take two". At the time I really wanted to change my username and the plural of it was the only cool thing available, so I nabbed it.

I like yuri for some pairs. It just depends!

I'm not Chinese, no. I just studied it for five years during middle/high school. ^.^

Coffee! I'm a total coffee nut. Which isn't to say I dislike tea. I actually like tea quite a bit, it's just that I love coffee more.
