I think it might lead to food spoilage, because people pack their freezers pretty tight, so the odds are that maybe one food would be shoved right next to the light day after day, and after that light, which is pretty hot, had been coming on right next to the food, it might melt and refreeze one spot on it repeatedly, which would then become gross to eat.
