Okay, I'm still for Obama, so I'll keep this short...
Yes, it is really cool that we've got a viable female candidate for the presidency. Historic and awesome and all that. And yes, she'd make a good president. Heck of a lot better than what we've had. So, on that account... Woo!
And wow, original pennants... that is awesome.
But also... This is the first pic I've seen of you in a while. Congrats on the weight loss. You're looking great!
I've been purposefully trying to not be very political in my LJ, mostly because I think voting is a very personal thing, and supporting WHICHEVER candidate you believe in is important. I'm not out to change anyone's mind. Except for maybe... Republicans!!! ;)
Overall, I want a DEMOCRAT in the White House, so whichever candidate gets the nomination is getting my support! That's why I'm not out arguing with Obama supporters or anything, because I think he is a great candidate, too.
lol, changing Republican minds would be good, yes.
And... I walk a fine line sometimes. I'm happy to have discussions when invited. I don't mind using my personal journal space to present my views. But I don't believe in pushing my views (political or otherwise) on other people. I just... like to give them a different perspective to consider.
But yes, support what you believe in. (But if you're undecided, support me! j/k)
And yes... getting a Dem in is critical. It's a little hard to get into that mindframe sometime, after all this negative campaigning and this long primary process, but if Hillary gets the nom, I will absolutely be behind her. (Heck, I distinctly remember shouting out "Hillary '96!" to a random crowd in '95, just for the heck of it...)
