I had that happen to me last time. Then a few weeks later I got a letter and a voter registration form to fill out ~ in spite of having been able to vote in the prior election. I contacted someone ~ I think with the state voter registration shortly before the deadline to make sure that I was in fact registered. He seemed a little irritated when he said "Did you get something saying you were?" I politely explained that yes, I had. But I had gotten something the previous time I registered and apparently something happened. He was cool and looked up my info and said I was. Though he had no clue what would have happened. It was weird.
