Hey look, a streak

LJ just vomited a batch of backlogged notifications into my email. Not cool, LJ. I suppose it's rather poetically appropriate seeing as how I'm posting for the third day in a row, which while not a record is certainly unusual. New friends who thought I was only an occasional poster, sorry for the bait and switch ( Read more... )

The local buses used to have an ad showing the bus driving through Wintry Conditions advertising that the bus ran 360 days a year. Considering some of the times I've rode the bus, I tend to reserve my judgment of 'can get to work' as 'can walk to the bus stop without falling over'.

I wish I wish the picture I took in college would have developed properly. The bus pulled over to let some people off and couldn't get out of the drift. It was actually a pretty cool sight, the bright orange bus standing out from the snow, stuck diagonally across a lane of traffic.

My bus stops almost right outside my door, so I have no excuse for not getting there, but I am going to have to be a lot more careful now to get out there ahead of time in order to pick my way down the hill and not slip and fall on my ass.

oh man, you too? i couldn't figure out why i wasn't getting any notifications for any comments or entries. glad to see that it's apparently a site-wide problem that is working itself out.

poor Cirrus. i always love when i can snag a space in my mom's garage and let the snow melt off on its own overnight so i can remove a shiny clean car in the morning.

I've heard it from a couple of other people as well, so it's gotta be something site-wide. I haven't gotten any of the comments to this entry, but I actually just got doubles of some from a couple of days ago. It's hella annoying.

My boss and co-worker today were saying how they liked having their garage and underground parking, respectively. I told them I hated them both. ;) It isn't even going to get above freezing to melt some of this shit off so it's all going to be there waiting for me on Saturday.

Is that a 24inch ruler stuck in the snow to measure the drift, or am I imagining things?

It's an 18 inch ruler, but yes it is stuck in to measure. :)
