My book doesn't go up to 161, instead I shall open it to a random page:

"Then, striking upward, it threw lustrous fleck on her lips, edged her eyes with velvet shade, and laid a ilky whiteness above the black curve of her brows."
p. 59, Ethan Frome

"Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions." I'm bad at following directions.

I need to read some Edith Wharton. Paula put her on my list of recommended books at Iowa, but I never did get into her.

I also posted it in my journal as well, so Ha! I just posted it here too, just because I knew everybody wanted to know what I was reading. *kids*

I read the instructions but I'm posting here anyway, because what I found was really lame.

"(You can't do it by using the File>Open With command, by Control-clicking the icon, or by using the Action menu.)"

-Mac OS X Tiger Edition: The Missing Manual

I should have ignored those instructions and gone for a cooler book.

Really. The Plague was only a couple more feet away. But no. I had to be a dork and go for my handy style manual.
