Car update: it's fucked, and seriously so. We're basically junking it and looking around for another one, something cheap. My mom has a lead on a Honda Accord that's supposed to be in pretty good condition and cost twenty-five hundred or so. Here's hoping that works out.

I'm off to watch Remains of the Day with Dan. Ciao.

It was about as interesting as you'd expect a movie about a butler to be.

The Remains of the Day is a great film. Anthony Hopkins is amazing.

Yeah, well. I preferred the book.

It's funny, because Lewis (Iowa teacher Lewis) gave me that book at the end of the session and then we had to watch the film for my English class (as a comparison to another book we were reading--i.e. Natsume Soseki's Kokoro ). It's my next book to read after I've finished Mrs. Dalloway, which is a really stunning read.
