Henry takes the weekend off. A friend takes his show, and he takes time to think. Calls his dad two, three times, sorts through the responses he gets, decides he can stay at school for now, that his dad's come out of the worst of whatever depression (caused by tiredness, overload, and his own dedication to truth) he'd fallen into.

Nonetheless, he emails the horoscopes before he leaves for class on Monday:

Daily Horoscope Overview
The quiet Virgo Moon is overwhelmed by stronger influences as a Water Grand Trine between the Sun, Mars and Uranus encourages us to take care of our own needs without much involvement from others. Meanwhile, sensual Venus dynamically squares passionate Pluto, urging us to forget about moderation as we express our desires, possibly being manipulative in the process. The Moon enters logical Libra at 6:47 pm EST, helping us find much-needed balance.

Libra: (Sep 23 - Oct 22)
You'll probably remember this day for quite a while because the Moon enters your sign while your key planet, Venus, has it out with shady Pluto. Instead of just giving into someone else's power, realize that what you have cannot be taken away from you. Your real work now is not about standing up to anyone else. It's about being true to yourself, whether you express it or not.

Scorpio Horoscope: (Oct 23 - Nov 21)
Your ruling planet Pluto crosses paths with attractive Venus, anchoring your sensual needs to the heat at the bottom of the volcano. You are not likely to have a lighthearted attraction now. This is either about passionate love or intense hate, and possibly both. Make whatever allowances are necessary for anyone who is not able to join you in the profound depth of your current feelings.

At a break in filming Viggo fires up the laptop so he can work on something that's been niggling at him. Usually he doesn't do that, bring the outside to set, but with the projects so close to each other he's not having his usual time to absorb, reflect, explore, get to know each character separately. It's as though they're all in the green room just outside his immediate consciousness, and he can hear them talking amongst themselves, but not what they're saying. Somehow, the projects he has - a poem, a couple short essays- help him stay more centered in what he's doing right now, and keep Hitch from being muddled with Nikolai, Halder, and the father.

As he reads what Henry's sent he begins to smile. No fool, Henry's sent both Libra and Scorpio. The cusp is no easy place to be, Viggo thinks; whether it's between signs or between characters, the edges are sharp and precarious, and it's better to have a view of both sides than to blindly go forth without, unless that's absolutely necessary.

Then, it's better to have a faith in hope- a faith that, when all is said and done, what you do with your day's effort is in service of something, makes something better for someone, or for nature, or for the planet, or for the grand scheme of life-as-transformer-of-energy, or, for lack of a better word, for the higher levels that we can barely comprehend, and argue about the very existence of.

Well. The change of the clocks is an edge of a different kind, and we're on the Winter side of it now, he reckons, as he closes the laptop after sending his short appreciative reply to his son, and goes back into the world of Everett Hitch, where the evils men do to each other are not so different from the evils of today.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil there-of, someone's carved into a piece of wood and nailed up in the craft-service tent. Why that, no-one's quite sure, but it's become a mantra- no need to borrow trouble. It'll find you if it needs you. Until then, just do what's in front of you the best you can.

Which is all he's going ask himself to do, for the rest of the day. The best he can, with what's in front of him.
