Karl finds one of Viggo's books stuffed in his suitcase. Why the hell it's there is beyond him- must be from some other trip, something Vig was reading that he'd left out when they were packing and Karl'd just stuffed into his suitcase to take it home. It's not one of Vig's own books- he doesn't wander around with his own stuff ("Seen it all already, you know? Way too many times!" he'll laugh when he's asked if he rereads his own books, though he does occasionally take something out, rework it, even after publication) -it's some philosopher that he'd been reading to try and get a handle on a speech against the war, against the lies about the war, and for impeachment of the current administration. Karl looks at the book for a moment, then tucks it gently back in the pocket he found it in. He considers himself a practical man: acting is about getting the part right, not letting the character inhabit him; hobbies are carpentry, not philosophy. He doesn't realize how much he's a cottage philosopher in his own right.

He pulls his trunks out of the case and hauls them on. They've been to the park, successfully dodged fans and paparazzi alike, taken not one but two rides on 'Unkah Ohhli's boat', had hot dogs and cotton candy and milkshakes (or soyshakes and salad for Orlando) and walked and walked and walked through the Magic Kingdom until Hunter said, "Let's go swimming. There's too many people now," in a very assertive voice. They'd come back, shucked off shoes and shirts, found sun-block and hats, and grabbed towels from the bathroom. Karl'd weighed the good of some quiet exercise and play against the good of a nap and decided in favor of the former without batting an eye.

Hunter carefully puts his clothes in his suitcase, takes himself to the bathroom, and gets dressed in his trunks and hat. He's completely comfortable around the two men, Orli sees- he gives Natalie, whom he knows he met but doesn't really remember, points for that naturalness in her son.

Ready to go, Karl picks Hunter up and carries him on his shoulders around the room. Orli gathers up the towels and odds and ends, smiling widely at the happy father and son team. He knows he's missed a lot of that, and it saddens him sometimes, but he doesn't usually dwell on it, just appreciates it when he sees others enjoying those moments. They pass through the door a little clumsily, Hunter leaning down over Orli's arm for support so's not to have to get down and not to hit his head, either.

As Orli closes the door behind them it comes to his mind that he still has a book of Vig's to give back: some philosophy book he'd borrowed for Kingdom of Heaven then never having a chance to return it while they were apart. He knows right where it is, too: on the shelf next to the bed in his place in London. He thinks how much it helped him live with Balian, whose task was so large and could only be met by inner certainty of a depth Orlando was able to find within himself. He pushes the elevator button, taking a kiss from Hunter as his due, and leaves philosophy to its own devices for the rest of the afternoon.
