YAY!!! You read Storm Front!!! Huzzah huzzah!!!

I have yet to read any of Charlaine Harris's mystery series. I'm waiting for Grave Surprise to come out in paperback. :)

Love the layout, too. I had a plaid layout on my myspace page for the longest time, but I just recently changed it. Haven't decided if I want to keep the new one. Hm. We'll see. I'm happy with my LJ one... mainly because I made it, and the header happened by accident. Been thinking about changing it though but don't have the guts since I can't remember at the moment how I did it in the first place. :P

Went to the site you got your layout from... LOVE the Casino Royale one. Nice.

Okay, time for bed. *smooches*

Yeah, Harry Dresden is my newest favorite character. :D And the fact that he's played by such an attractive man in the tv series doesn't hurt either.

I highly recommend the Aurora Teagarden series. I really do like Charlaine Harris. :D Have you read any of the Sookie Stackhouse books? Better than Anita Blake, imho.

Can you tell me what order they go in? I went to the library closest to my house and they had a few but not all, and their listings were all willy-nilly, and I like reading things in order. :)

I forgot if you read on my LJ or if I told you... they're making a series out of the Sookie books on HBO. I forgot what they're calling it, but it's being written by Alan Ball (the genius behind Six Feet Under), and I believe they signed Anna Paquin to play Sookie... which should be interesting.

Sure. Lemme go find my paper...
Real Murders
A Bone to Pick
Three Bedrooms, One Corpse
The Julius House
Dead Over Heels
Fool and His Honey
Last Scene Alive
Poppy Done to Death

:D And yep, the Sookie series is called True Blood. I wish they'd tell us when it'll start. Since Rome is over, I kinda want to switch to Showtime so I can watch The Tudors, but I don't want to miss the start of True Blood. I'm sure it won't start until late this year, but still...

Forget the 50 Book Challenge! I think you'll surpass the hund-o mark at this rate, hehe.

You've been reading a lot of Laurell K. Hamilton. I've never read anything of hers but her stuff keeps popping up on rec lists. I've read some of the negative reviews so I suppose I know what they are. I am a bit concerned by the addiction factor though. I just finished one addicting series of books and am not sure if I'm up to the task of spending more sleepless nights because of it. :)

I'd love to hit the 100-book mark this year. It'd be a new personal record. :D

Hamilton's books are rather crack like. It's almost like you want to continue with the series just to see how screwed up the books get. The Anita Blake series isn't all that bad, porn wise. Not until like the 8th or so book. The Merry Gentry series though - it's like pure porn. And not even normal porn! Like supernatural/tentacle/faerie porn.

But yeah, I wouldn't say I had sleepless nights. I did read for longer periods of time more often than normal. Hell, I even read while I was playing the Sims or watching tv!

So, read at your own risk, I suppose. :D

BTW, have you heard if Gabaldon(sp?) will be writing any more Outlander books?

I read Karen Marie Moning's Highlander Series and those might be considered porn by some. I think I would choose the word erotic though. Those books were a lot of fun and I found them impossible to put down.

I love book obsessions and all the reviews I've read for Hamilton support your crack theory so I am very tempted for that reason alone.

The Outlander series is supposed to continue, or so I've heard. She has said there will be at least one more and possibly two books in that series. She's also hinted at a new series where Master Raymond is the main character. I think that would be really interesting.

"Totally insane and disgusting. Liked it very much."

Probably the most accurate and succinct review I've ever seen. Glad you enjoyed it. There's more where that came from, check out EARTHCORE and ANCESTOR at http://www.podiobooks.com.
