Still kicking! (And getting kicked!)

Good night, my dear blog-space in the interwebs!

What've been up to lately, you say? Well, since classes are bound to start on Monday 31th (And as far as I know, at 8:00 am... way to go, Carlos Alberto) I've been pretty much lazying around this last days ooooor... not. To be truthful, I've actually been somewhat busy and haven't achieved many of the ( Read more... )

Ahh, hail and rain... *Looks outside* Please can England trade for some of that? We're fed up with the sun here. We're not used to it.

Rurr?? *laughs* Oh man, I missed that sound!

Anyway, I would gladly trade it for some sun but for some reason, we're having a sunny afternoon. So... I'm sure most argentineans wouldn't be happy with such trade.

And see the bright side, man! You can always get a tan! ;)

Banks close at 6pm in Perú? Man, that must be nice! Here in Canada it's a running joke about how early the banks close. They usually close at 4-5pm or so. Not so bad on the surface, except that most people don't get off work until 5pm. This is probably why Canada has had the world's fastest uptake on using automated banking machines and online banking.

I'm glad to hear you're getting settled in nicely though. I hope you continue to be social and meet people and have fun; you really need to! Don't forget about your schoolwork and stuff for too long, but it's great that you'll have more than just that to keep you busy.

And I'm glad to hear you found a place to live. Hopefully there won't be any problems!

Keep well, and keep us up to date! (:

So, canadian banks follow the same pattern? It's a bit odd but perhaps it's a way of forcing people to use the banking machines and the other alternatives (a quite abusive and annoying way to shape the market into what benefit them, in my opinion). And was Canada the first country to get used to use them? Interesting!

Thanks man! I need to be social since I haven't came all the way here to act shyly. Besides, I'm sure it wouldn't be long until I got depressed due to loneliness (I love my family and friends and being away of the things I care so much about would be really saddening). I've heard many argentineans aren't too kind with foreigners so I'll mostly hang around my fellow foreign students or some argentinean females (which are EXTREMELY cute. Oh, if you could see, man...)

And believe me: you'll grow tired of reading my entries! I find that writing about this things relax me so I'll do it more oftenly!

Bwaha, I doubt I could ever get tired of them. If you can read through six years of my LJ entries in the span of a few nights, surely I can sit through one of yours every other day or so. (:

I don't know that banks do it specifically to force people to use other banking methods, but I certainly suspect it. Bank machines and websites are cheaper than paying tellers and managers and stuff. I also don't know if Canada is the first country to use bank machines (and the associated debit cards) regularly, but I do believe we're one of the countries with the biggest uptake of it.

I sure am glad to hear that you're going to be more social! I wish you the best of luck with it! What better way to fight off loneliness than to hang out with other people? (:
