Congrats on new job! I didn't know about this, should I have known about this? Do you like it?

I don't know that you *should* have? I was just generally incredibly miserable at the old job and so I left it! I'm in HR now at a charter school and it's only my 3rd week but it's great so far! and also leaves me with the mental and emotional wherewithal (as well as the actual physical time) to write creatively, which I can't overstate the importance of.

So, wait, you're not practicing anymore? I thought you loved practicing. Clearly my lack of ability to deal with Tumblr is making it so I know nothing. Sigh. I'm glad you found something that DOES work and that gives you a work-life balance!

I loved law school. Practicing made me so miserable that if I hadn't had an end goal in sight of getting out I would probably have triggered my depression again and been at the very least verging on suicidal. Haven't been that unhappy in over a decade. BUT, there's no reason tumblr should've told you, since I don't really put anything personal on tumblr? I've just been Not Great at updating lj, lol.
