Unfortunate Choice of Names

I was just in the liquor store (Say it ain't so!) looking through the vodka selection. More and more countries are making vodka, and selling it here in the USA. Most of them¹ try to choose a name or style that invokes something reminiscent of their country or culture. Understandable, really. Unfortunately, one of the new varieties I saw was ( Read more... )

PINK is a good vodka -- one of the few not at our kick-ass li'l liquor store.

This wasn't at the little store in walking distance; I was at a larger one last night. (The one in the Giant plaza, since I also had to get something there.) This larger liquor store had no Van Gogh, because I had been hoping to run into another flavor of the VG that we haven't had yet.

The pink vodka is very good. We were just sipping it from straight out of the freezer.

It's not really supposed to be flavored, but there is a sort of slight hint of something to it. Easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but not unpleasant.
