I have 4 of the old 1 TB Western Digital and 1 of the 1.5 TB ones an, SO FAR, they have not let me down. Seagate still worries me so I haven't tried them. Maxtor used to be good stuff. It was crap before that. I have no idea now.

If you're looking for NAS (and don't want to go setting up FreeNAS), I've heard good things about Drobo, but I've yet to try one.
