Terry's father had barely mentioned her, and the boy had been trying to block out most of his father's personal life, but the combination of the first name of the lady and her Ministry department had lead him to some undeniable curiousity. Mandy was still in a funk, her mother's birthday was a few days ago and she sent the present and a letter out to her mum wishing her a happy birthday and hoping that maybe in the reply her mum would let her know about whatever in the world is going on with this thing with her boss possibly. However no response from her mother, probably got too caught up in the new books Mandy sent her. So basically, Mandy wasn't a happy camper, just sitting in the common room. She was looking around when she saw Terry coming in. She got up and ran to him and sighed, "Finally. Come let us go to the Great Hall or outside and let me listen to you judge people, I need some entertainment."

Mandy smiled as she linked her arm through Terry's. Terry was one of her good friends. Ever since they met first year on the train, she always found him funny and well who didn't need that in their life. Sure most people didn't get him, but that as their problem. They were missing out. Mandy sighed and looked as him as they walked out of the common room, "It's my mum. I think she's started seeing someone. And not just any someone, but her new boss at St. Mungo's. Only thing is, I'm not supposed to know about it yet. Daniel Harper, you know the Slytherin who can't get on their starting Quidditch team, told me, it's his dad."

Terry raised his eyebrows, as he escorted her out of the common room. "You're kidding," he commented dryly, absolutely astounded that the girl was experiencing something so similar to him.

"I've actually been... researching hearing that my Dad's dating again also..." he allowed himself to admit. He pursed his lips together for a moment, before adding, "Looks like we both need a bit of a break, don't we?"
