Daphne hated studying. She hated school. All her life she got by on good looks and money.

But all of that changed earlier in the school year when Terry Boot caught her paying for her essays. Usually she wouldn't have given it a second thought but something about Terry's disapproving look did something to her. It also helped that he was an excellent kisser.

"I see you got a good table," she said, strolling over in 4-inch gray suede pumps, tight black skinny jeans, and a low cut green cardigan sweater - where she proudly wore the Slytherin pin. It definitely was not proper library wear. Girls gave her dirty looks as they second guessed their own comfortable over sized t-shirts while the guys did not hide their looks of awe.

She settled in next to him and pulled out her books. This was not the quality time she was hoping for.

"How long have you been here for? It looks like hours," she said, already sounding bored of this whole things.

An older Ravenclaw boy walked past, smiling hopefully at Daphne. She smiled sweetly at him but he quickly realized she was 'working' with somebody new. His face turned sour as he found his seat across the library.

It was not lost on Terry what their situation looked like. She would only be near him if he was being paid for work.

His brow furrowed involuntarily. He could read people, yes, but he usually didn't care what they thought.

"Have a seat," he replied as a gentleman, pulling the chair out so she could join him.
