Holy shit that's a really unpleasant-sounding procedure.

Yah, I thought I wrote about my first experience with that test back over in my other blog, but I guess I didn't.

Lots of chocolate therapy in order tomorrow night.

That does sound so totally lame. I remember when I'd have to be on a plane most of a day, and I'd think, it's so dumb my mind has to accompany my body. I wish there were some kind of device that let us pass time separately. If I'd managed to come up with it instead of just staring out the window for six hours, right now I'd totally give it to you.

If you could sever just the physiological responses from awareness! Oh wait I think they already invented it and it's called heroin.

Ah me. Gonna have some of that chocolate I was mentioning! With the chilis! and the cinnamon.

"she sent out for one of those short, plump little cakes called petites madeleines, which look as though they had been moulded in the fluted scallop of a pilgrim's shell. and soon, mechanically, weary after a dull day with the prospect of a depressing morrow, i raised to my lips a spoonful of the tea in which i had soaked a morsel of the cake. no sooner had the warm liquid, and the crumbs with it, touched my palate than a shudder ran through my whole body, and i stopped, intent upon the extraordinary changes that were taking place...at once the vicissitudes of life had become indifferent to me, its disasters innocuous, its brevity illusory..."

It's a test to determine the source of poor vision if the retina looks ok. When I first took this test, in late 2006/early 2007, they were thinking that my visual probs were MS related. Turns out not to be the case, which is IRONIC, insofar as a wonky visual field test showed defects that led to my MS diagnosis. Oy veys mir.
