YOU HAD ME AT MORRICONE.

Listening to this right now and really liking the feel of it, the Spanish influence and use of the guitar and mandolin to speak FOR him is really damned evocative.

And it makes Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood terrifyingly ironic. I can kind of see him beating Korea's face in. Good call on the Santa Esmeralda cover.

(You've also succeeded in giving me a whole playlist of songs that remind me of TK, for an entirely different reason mind you. Though upon reflection there is a bit of correlation between him and Japan...)

Halfway through now, listening to the rest, will continue feedback...

...and yeah. The gradual relevance of the lyrics and superseding of the guitar and its importance. Yeah. Um.

I'll be listening to this one a lot.

ECHOING MORRICONE SENTIMENTS

His music is so incredibly glorious, and that song in particular is a nice pick.
I may be obsessed with his music from the dollars trilogy more...though that hardly fits Japan. xD

O hai there, I recognize most of these from the Kill Bill soundtracks and they WORK amazingly well this way and I'll be listening to these in the corner and squeeing for a while.

lol hey there, I'd just like to point out that "Malaguena Salerosa" has been used for a variety of different media, including Robert Robriguez's El Mariachi trilogy! It's west influences east influences west influences east, and so on and so forth.

But I hope you do enjoy it. ;)

This is soooo amazing! At first I was thrown by all the latin/spanish, but it really is starting to grow on me in a big way :D The Johnny Cash is inspired and the Rodrigo y Gabriela is so awesome! *keeps listening*
