The castle of Beaumesnil (Normandy / France)

Maybe one of the most beautiful Louis XIII style castle in Normandy, the castle of Beaumesnil was built between 1633 and 1640 by the marquess Jacques de Nonant for his wife, Marie Dauvet Desmaret. Nothing now remains of the ancient medieval fortress but a part of the dungeon, completely covered by box trees
