You should be careful about the toilet though; she might just try to go "da da" in there instead.

nah - she appears to differentiate between toys & the real thing.

Then again, I've been egregiously mistaken before...

heheheheheheheehheheheheh.

when my youngest niece was getting potty trained, my sis and her hubs tried to time it so that as soon as she woke up from her nap, they'd pick her up and run her over to the toilet (cuz they let her sleep in her undies) so she can go. sometimes though, they don't run up in time to catch her from going in her undaweah. they'd catch her holding onto her sister's bed post and squatting and pooping. LOL.

my daughter isn't quite verbose yet, though she does have a terrific command of random words and phrases.

these are best served high pitched and at the top of her lungs.

Cute potty story!!

Have you tried using a diaper on the gorilla as an example?

Give her time.....she'll learn to potty.

yah, then she's going to reach the age where she wants to be able to pee standing up just like boys do. lol. my older niece once told me long long long ago when she was maybe 3 or 4, "I want to be a boy, auntie." I asked her why.. and she said, "because I want to be able to pee standing up." LOL.

when my daughter is three or four, she'll probably build herself a toilet out of legos before answering the call of nature.

Or worse.
