Hey, how do you know it was all BookCrossers? I donated anonymously!

Ooops,

Just thinking here about 40 hour famine strategies,

You could spread the 40 hours over a number of days.

Or do it with a friend, like a tag team kind of thing.

Or do it under Guinness Book of Records rules, where you get a rest break of ten minutes every hour, because nobody expects you to stand on one leg for twenty days or whatever without a pit stop.

My personal favorite was the protest here in Canberra a few years back outside some embassy or other. They were having a rolling hunger strike, and a grim-faced faster would be sitting there, holding a placard saying how long the hungerstrike had been going on - some really impressive number - and every so often, someone else would come along and take their place, while the first went off for refreshments.

I don't really have anyone I can do the challenge with.. after I have breakfast I am going to have a nap for a bit, I'm not really feeling so good at the moment and I think since I have 8 books read now I can allow myself a short rest.. I'll make up some lost hours on Sunday I think.

And your donation showed up as anonymous on the page but with your first name on the email they sent me.
