A New Year

The celebrations lasted throughout the night with throngs of people coming and going through the temple grounds. Rei often found New Years Eve to be the most exhausting night of the entire year, but the hopeful faces that passed through made it all worthwhile in the end. The temple bell had been rung hours ago now and soon the sun would be rising.

that was beautiful - the language was simple and clean but the story it conveyed was sweet and sad. it did make me want to cry - in a good way. i also loved how you used rei and minako in this story - showing how differently they can view things and especially the topic concerning the guys. i also love how you tied this into the new year and how he approached rei - it made it seemed that much more real and raw to me. but yes i really love this piece! great job.
