OMG, Dean so totally reminds Angel of Spike. *nods vigorously*
I like how you meld the mythologies together, very smooth. But you realize that it kind of smells like a sequel, yes? I mean, I think it works like this too, but you know.
I really like the zinger lines you give Faith, especially at the end there. And angsty Angel smoking! So hot.

Thanks, lady. Your turn for the Shanshued Angel/Dean fic you've teased us with. *pokes*

It's nice to see Sam & Dean with some help & mentoring, even if Dean will never admit what's going on. It's so him to think at the end that he's increasing his army. & I like your subtle aside explaining why vampire mythology differs between SPN & Buffy/AtS, and that of course W&H represents the Demon.

Thanks for commenting -- it means a lot, especially after all the angsting I did over whether or not I was just too ashamed of it. And I'm rather proud of my handwaving of mythologies... I think it works and nice to hear that it does for others.

I totally get commitment/completion issues. It wouldn't have to officially be a series - you could imagine just writing another story in the same 'verse, each one standalone like this one. If you end up with 2 stories, we all win, and if you end up with lots, we win a lot! No bad here. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? ;) It would be so good! Dean and Angel butting heads will be hysterical, cuz Dean's denial is very very good, but eventually it's going to be hard to pretend Angel's in his army, and he won't like that at all. Except of course, it's challenging to be angry when all you wanna do is boff the guy - who doesn't like a little angry fighting-for-dominance sex. & poor Sam deserves some action somewhere. Which leads me to pondering Sam meeting Willow and/or Giles, which would be good intellectual action if nothing else. Of course, if he got over the vampire thing and realized whan a resource Angel could be, that could be ( ... )

I was ashamed of it because it was all my own kinks (own it, own it!) and because the first, rough draft was all over the place, grammatically, with crazy tense shifts and overly wordy paras. Thankfully, an Angel of a Beta helped me!
Lots of people like the idea of Sam/Willow (they did it in the library with a candlestick!), and I am not opposed to that, i.e. someone should totally write it.
But in my version, it's Sam/Fred. HOW? Well, it has to do with Illyria losing control of herself and slipping back into the shell, maybe eventually just becoming the shell again with blue streaks in her hair (I love Fred, what can I say?) -- which causes all sorts of weirdness for Sam when he finds out she's Illyria and then also for undead!Wesley, hot on the trail of Angel and Faith.
And there is capitulation on Sam's part because the sex vibes from Faith/Angel/Dean makes him crazy and... to be continued. Maybe.

Your Angel here:
“Nothing righteous about it.” Angel bogarts another Red without asking. He grins at Faith but it’s devoid of humor, completely without charm. Faith hides a small shudder. She doesn’t like the vibe she’s getting from him. “It’s only good if you’re suicidal. Or immortal.” His grin turns wolfish and Faith has to look away.
...is chilling. And this whole thing has a lovely film noir feel to it for me.
I am *so* glad I begged shamelessly for this.

You win!

Lost a line, there.
I think you did a great job tying in W&H (of course!) and also with dealing with the whole vamp-killing canon conflicts between the shows.

I do love that the shows give you so many avenues for crossover potential - "doing research" on demons, who really controls the demons, and so on, not to mention the abject hotness of various characters.
In summation: YAYZ.
The last line was contributed by poisontaster because she is awesome. I can't really take credit for that.

Faith/Dean is addictive, indeed.

(Although I suppose Dean might disagree with Buffy's assessment huh?)
You left this pretty open, are you planning to write more?

UM, well, yes, I am. I wasn't, but people have left enough breadcrumbs for the plot bunnies to follow...
