No, really, I don't need to have a life. )

I also wish you felt better. But the trip sounds amazing (especially with some expenses paid my someone else!). I do hope you get to Rome. And this is fabulous news: "He's trying." I have not heard you say that in forever. I hope the travel does you good. In the meantime . . . be kind and forgiving to yourself.

Thanks L. I hope the trip goes well also... and the Italy part will definitely be cool. Yeah, trying. Which could end any day, but sort of has to be met halfway, you know?

IIRC you feel better when you are traveling. Also, an ambivalent relationship that has some good parts is probably going to be better when you're in an insanely terrific place (i.e., physical place is insanely terrific, not that the relationship is).

I suspect the performance was Called on Account of Weather and they'll give you your money back? Also, I'm catching up with Genevieve Valentine's blog and she saw The Heiress and said Chastain was unspeakably awful, so if she's right you dodged a bullet.

Yes I do feel better when traveling. So here's hoping!

I don't think the perf was cancelled, but I did hear again that Chastain was horrible, so I'm going with that!

And wow, Israel and Italy - what a great trip that will be! Even if you do little more than lounge about in cafes with big sunglasses on it will be a lovely time. (I have had fabulous meals in Emilia Romagna - everyone goes into raptures about Tuscan cuisine but most of them have never had a meal in Bologna.)

My husband's restaurant is Emilia Bologna-based, yes, and the food is pretty amazing. I'm sure we'll eat well and drink a lot of red wine. A LOT. Israel will be trickier because of the family but there should be good side trips to take (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, maybe some places I haven't yet been).

*hugs*

Mostly I wish I felt better and wasn't suffering anymore.

I wish that, too. I hope the trip turns out well anyway.

I would LOVE to feel better. It's my number one wish. But I do love travel so hopefully that won't all fall apart. Nothing worse than being stuck in a hotel in a foreign country when there's STUFF TO SEE.
