OMG, I would totally read Inspecctor Lewis fic. The partner, the one with the obscure literary references? fascinates me as a character...

Here's what I wrote. And there are a few other really worthwhile fics there at AO3. Also check out the one written for me by mcicioni, which is far and away one of the best things written like, ever. :)

The partner, Hathaway, is one Laurence Fox who is awesome. And married to Billie Piper.

At least that's a small fandom...I can't even get anybody to watch Sleeper Cell or Brotherhood.

Even when you threaten them? I think those two have small fandoms, though, right? At least Sleeper Cell did once upon a time...

I think I must have watched Sleeper Cell after its small fandom evaporated.

Only one more disk of Brotherhood left, dammit!

Hi! I write fic about a sport nobody even understands.

And right now there are ice skaters Twitter-flirting at each other and I have no one to tell. Except you.

I hope your tiny fandom becomes a shiny little phenom with its own comm and good, prolific writers and a small but dedicated and wank-free cadre of fans who squee in their own private language.

But more people know about ice skating AND about the skaters because you are persistent and dedicated! But I'm sure it's tough-going at times when you want to squee and are well, squee-thwarted.

honey, I have been obsessed with my Gillian/Jon rpf since 1998. Now, THAT'S a small fandom, and the glee I have at people commenting to the Yuletide story with "I always wanted this" is beyond words.

OK. What is that? I confess I do not know.

But that's the whole beauty of Yuletide. You can get/give things in tiny, tiny fandoms and people get really excited even if they didn't think they cared.

It is here!

Basically, I was watching promo for Playing by Heart back in 1998, and was completely taken by how hard Gillian Anderson was crushing on Jon Stewart, who was her costar in that movie. They were adorable together, she was all giggly and flirty, it was the cutest thing. And later, she was on Leno, and he asked her what it was like working with Jon, and mentioned that they had good chemistry onscreen, and she laughed and said, "Well, he has a girlfriend so. . . " which in my mind was proof positive that she was crushing. :D

Perfect for yuletide.

One word: Chuck.

*sigh*

There's fic, but not much worth reading. Maybe some would be more worth reading if it didn't come in 1,000 word chapters, posted once in a while.

ERG, fandoms that have giant chapter-fics with mile-long author's notes drive me up the wall. Up. The. Wall.

I would have thought that Chuck had a gorgeous fandom, but you have said different, so that's a terrible shame.

Was it in Yuletide?
