i was lurking and thought i ought to comment. i held my own faux thanksgiving dinner yesterday here in scotland for some of my (not remotely american) friends. at one point, someone asked about thanksgiving traditions--specifically if there were any thanksgiving songs. i looked at my friend as if he were absolutely insane. how could i have forgotten alice's restaurant?! dammit. thanks for reminding me. i'll have to send him an email with a link to the song...
