have you never heard alice's restaurant? because omg, dude, it's just awesome.
well, it hasn't proven to be *too* awesome to those people who didn't grow up with it (for the most part, they just don't Get It), which i guess is okay, but still makes me cry for them, because it's the best thanksgiving tradition i have (as well as the only one still going), and i like sharing things that make me happy. so.....yeah.
i did listen! and i did enjoy! although my original download stopped when it was almost finished and i didn't know it, and i was listening and it got to minute fifteen, with one person going in to the shrink and singin' a bar and walkin' out, and STOPPED. and i gasped, and there was much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments, and then i went and found the link again and finished the download and everything was fine.
and neither, actually. we got up and watched the parade, and then i went to a friend's house for aforementioned enchiladas and tacos (vegetarian and not, because she is vegetarian and her husband is not), and we played a game called chez geek, and we watched the broncos game, and then i came home and slept and got up at 2am for black friday because my employer is just good like that.
well we met back in 2002 so yeah I think it is the third... or maybe is was 2001? Damn... it's been a long time. I'll have to check it was way back when I first started this LJ thing. :-) Love you happy anniversery!

i wanna know what this "chez geek" is. cause that sounds AWESOME.
my brother had to be at work by 5.30 to work at the *bank*. then worked 18 hours yesterday. so i feel your pain with the black friday bit.
(well, actually, i slept until 3.30 yesterday, so i personally don't feel your pain. LOL)
