it's just not a good idea to move across the country *for* someone else, no matter *how* sure you are that you want to be with them. you have to *want* to be where you're going to end up, and you have to be making that move for yourself.

i definitely learned that the hard way and it ate away at the relationship until there wasn't one and we hated each other.

so you're definitely doing the smart thing.

and i am so, so sorry that you and shira broke up.
