Kings Thoughts

The flist seems to be a flurry about Kings, and about how awesome the characters are. The characters being discussed, however, are almost always male. Also, the femslashy portion of my flist has been fairly silent.

This does not make me want to watch KingsHowever, one of the characters the flist is a-squee about is the prince, Jack. And I know

They ARE brother and sister--they're Jonathan and Michal.

I haven't read Solomon or Kings recently enough to have any idea who Michal is without working backwards from the TV princess, but the brother/sister thing seemed to make sense. Now I just need to write an AU where she gets sent to a special academy and he has to give up the kingdom in order to break her out.

There's nothing in the way of real female characters on the show, from what I can tell. It's all about watching David and King Benjamin do their thing, and one of those is Ian McShane, which is pretty awesome, but that's what the show hinges on.
