My problem with Torchwood season 2 isn't that it hasn't given us any episodes which live up to the glory and genius of a "They Keep Killing" or a "Countrycide." Indeed, there have been some really good episodes

I never had to believe the writers knew it, as long as I could reasonably construct the text as saying it. But now I can't even think that much.
And it's not just that the old version fit my politics better--it's that the old version was something truly new and different and exciting and boundary-pushing, and now it's just 24 with scifi/fantasy elements.
