Oh, this looked so good on the Report! I'm glad you liked it! And hey, there has to be an uneven 'good to crap' ratio. You've just had to read a lot of the latter since it's more plentiful.

You could do something like this on several topics. That would be amazing.

O, U!

I was thinking someone could actually extremely successfully do books covering such broad topics as basic feminism, LGBT rights... now the wheels are churning.

If pigs fly and I ever manage to accomplish anything, it'd probably be one of the forgettable memoir variety, tho'.

Just by reading the little Amazon preview, its friendly, non-condescending directness resembles a lot of your posts--especially a certain comic strip you did a few years ago...

'Forgettable memoir variety'? Not only are you a great writer to begin with, but you know what makes a composition work. You mentioned it yourself a couple weeks ago--a relevant personal anecdote can help connect a reader to the story if used properly. I think maybe it's actually a good thing you've had to slog through so many ill-conceived books during your self-imposed reading assignment. By doing so, you not only can see when a writer does something wrong but WHY it doesn't work, and the consequences. And when you find something that actually is good, even in part, you likewise are able to effectively identify and express that too.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is that I don't think anything you write could be forgettable, even if you modestly degrade it as such, because your talent, knowledge, and will to educate wouldn't let it.

You're an utter doll to compare a mean-spirited cartoon (laden with cut 'n' paste) as comparable to this book. ;^) But you knew that.

Regarding the rest-- you know what? I think you're the best friend I've adopted as family and was related to previously I've ever had. In fact, I know you are. And that makes it all the more criminal that I'm !!!STILL!!! finishing your only second-- JESUS! card. *shamez*
