One Year, Fifty Books. Maybe.

Inspired by 50bookchallenge, and frankly curious as to how many new books I read a year, I'm documenting all new books read in 2009!
This should prove especially interesting as my first thought when I saw the challenge was
"ONLY fifty books a year?"
The last time I actually charted how many books I read for something was when I was eight for the public library's reading challenge. I felt guilty when I realized it was incentive to get kids to read, not an activity for kids that read a lot anyway. I slugged my free 75 cent Slurpee for reading 20+ books over the summer with an air of guilt.
I'm currently reading *cough* three, but when I do the posts, they'll be separate. Like I said, I'm not going to count any books I reread or books I've skimmed before but actually read this time (I know I can't be alone in doing that).
I'm extremely curious as to what the final tally will be.
