1. A random guess--Grease?
5. It Happened One Night--Why don't people (besides me anyhow) say phrases like "on the level" any more?
7. Streetcar Named Desire--Oh, Blanche, Blanche, Blanche!
9. Mommie Dearest--such a guilty pleasure
11. I think someone else already called this as Breakfast at Tiffany's

I'm very curious about 14, which I feel I should know.

I know it isn't but evil me thought #8 should be Grizzly Man right before the end.

Aaarrggghhh I have to confess, I've come to hate Grease with age! Although it gaves me one good thing, I watched Six Degrees of Separation because Stockard Channing was in it. "Cha-cha heels" is from a John Waters film... *urges urges* Iz ok, it's not one of his more well-known ones, but that is one of his best known lines, if that makes sense. Another line from that film is "I'm so fucking beautiful I can hardly stand it myself!!!!!!!" My icon is from the same movie.... *points and hints more*

5,7,9, and 11, all bang on the banana, even if you were beaten to the last one. And I agree!!! I just adore It Happened One Night! I saw it for the first time when I was fifteen and home sick from school and absolutely fell in love. I also love "Don't hold it against me; I'm a little screwy myself!!!" And I quote John Waters on Mommie Dearest (I have the "Hollywood Royalty" edition DVD where he does commentary and it's fucking hysterical. It's as fast-paced as MST3k): "I don't think it's so bad it's good, I think it's so good it's perfect! ( ... )

Oh, of course--8 is The Graduate.

I really hate Grease too, particularly the fact that Sandy has to change and he really doesn't -- story of women's lives I know but it still pisses me off. Do you know my mother let me see that in the theater when it came out (I think I was 8). Do you think 8 might be a little young for lyrics like "It's a real pussy wagon?" Oh, mom, mom, mom!

How could I be so dense! #6 is Pink Flamingos, which also has the great quote "I guess there's just two kinds of people, my kind of people, and assholes. It's rather obvious which category you fit into." I'm still scratching my head on #1; Hairspray's too obvious.

Of course #14 is a Marx quote--it couldn't be anything else. Is it Night at the Opera?

Righty-O on Night at the Opera, Pink Flamingos, and The Graduate!

There are quotes I like better from PF, especially that one. XD And "Our priceless theatrical wardrobe!!!" never fails to crack me up.

Number one is the epically awesome Female Trouble in an early 60s scene that could have been a far more profane Hairspray.
It's such a wonderfully disturbing movie. ^_^

This is my favorite scene and the scene from which that quote derives:

... and, now I see those have been named already. :(
I just made a note to watch Dr. Strangelove again. Love that movie. :D

Aw, iz ok! And omg, I only last year saw Dr Strangelove and I made sure to see it with a diehard fan and I LOVED it! One of my favorite lines is "I think you're some kind of deviated prevert, that's what I think!" XD
