Okay... I've done a bif comparison with Sergei and Sean's different versions of 1.61 (using BeyondCompare 2 - try it if you do Windows development, it's very good!!) and discovered the only differences are ( Read more... )

replying to myself, again.... looks like the reason Sergei returned the other string was because it was already in UTF-8 format.. D'OH.. so, that's not the cause.

I'm just going to put a "use UTF-8" switch in I guess. This'll side step the issue till the GUI stablises some.

But, the UTF8 issue is completely to do with encoding of the HTML strings being sent to LJ. I have proven that, I just need to get time to do a fix.

I was sort of hoping Zeta might have exploded by now :-(
