[Fang is out in the park, walking around slowly. It's not home but at least the park isn't as bad as the riot-filled streets. She wants to go home, and take Vanille and Lightning (even Serah though they haven't spoken yet) with her. Maybe she's just been away from home for far too long.]Does anyone else get... that feeling? You know, being resigned

[And before she asks:] A l'Cie is someone branded by a fal'Cie, a kind of god, to do a task for it.

Fang...
[A breath.]
We'll get our powers back soon. Or so everyone says.
[Her electric blue eyes narrow.] It's an odd feeling isn't it? Being this powerless?
I want my weapons and powers back just as much as you Fang.
...And I am not grouchy.

We can't complete a Focus here so, what, next stop Cie'th Central?
[She sighs, shaking her head.]
...sorry. I don't mean to blow up at you. Guess I'm worrying again.

Our brands barely progress here! Vanille said so herself, and she's been here the longest! She's still fine, isn't she?!
Time doesn't move in our worlds as long as we're here.
[A breath, and her expression softens a fraction.] Yeah. I'm worried to. But worrying won't get us anywhere. You know that, Fang.

[He takes a more serious look, his sarcasm and smugness not going away any time soon. Naturally.] Powers? Summoning Bahamut? [His blue eyes narrow, giving her a solid look, a corner of his lips quirking up.]
What magic stuff are you smoking, and the more important question, where can I get some?

Oh-ho! [An eyebrow quirks up.] I actually do it two legs at a time. It's faster that way, really. You should try it sometime!
[A skeptical look, and he narrows his eyes slightly, trying to see, thruogh the feed, her own eyes.] Huh. Pupils aren't too dialated, and not jumping. Don't seem to have shortness of breath. Means heart rate is fairly normal, but you might have elevated blood pressure right now... Wow. [He leans back again.] You seriously are completely sober.
Could've had me fooled. [A pause. He was curious now.] So you come from a completely different world than mine? Is it *magical*? [Hint of sarcasm is go!]

I'd have to be as grouchy as you to do it two legs at a time, old boy.
[She blinks at him as he seems to do some kind of medical check of her just through the phone. Colour her impressed.] Yeah, I'm sober. I think Vanille'd kick my arse if I took anything. Don't think I'd much want to either.
[She smirks.] Yes, funny-man, it's magical. It's called Gran Pulse.
