[Seated on the roof of a building, not the Avengers Mansion, but somewhere in the city of Aliunde, Thor has a rather contemplative look on his face. He's been considering many things, recently, and he wonders just what impact anything they do here has on anything at home. Sif and Steve both claimed to have no memories of Aliunde when they went home

[It's weird to hear her thoughts come out of Thor's mouth-- albeit worded a bit differently-- but her thoughts all the same. In her time here, she's grown closer to Thor, met and became close friends with Loki. She's made new friends she never would have made otherwise. There are people here that she cares for deeply and would mourn the loss of. And the idea of going home and forgetting all of it, makes her want to cry. When she does think on what might happen, her getting taken or one of those important people in her life, she has to stop herself from panicking. It scares her. To leave this city with no memory of being considered family by Thor and Loki, never meeting Tony or Pepper or Kaylee or Charles or any of them, never getting to meet Magnus.... Her breath catches in her throat and her chest squeezes like a vice.]
If we leave and forget everything...then I don't want to leave.

Dude, screw destiny right in the face. I don't care what anyone says my future's gonna be because it's destiny - if I don't like it then I'm sure as hell gonna do everything I can to change it. [No one knows more about crappy destinies than Dean.] I've dealt with reapers, demons, demi-gods and angels all telling me what my destiny is supposed to be and I'm working my ass off back home to make sure it doesn't happen.
Hell! I even went to the future once to see what it would be like if I went against my destiny and I still said "screw it, not gonna happen".

Why does it not surprise me that you are the one who would shout in the face of destiny? [He chuckles a bit more.] I suppose you are right. We can only try to change things, and not wallow in pity and concern.

Destiny decided to deal me a crappy hand so I've got a right to be shouting in its face. [Nods.] Our future here is what we make of it.

We would get terribly lonely and sad if we didn't try to work with one another.

You are right. Without each other, we would be very lonely.
