[All around the city those stone angel statues that had once been non-threatening decorations are starting to move. Every time they aren't being watched - when they don't have eyes on them the angels shift and position themselves to locations where they can find their victims

[Having a small amount of food left in her apartment, Chell bundles up to head out and get groceries before the next snowfall. She's a fast learner, despite the slight brain damage. If she buys a handful of basic ingredients, she can build several different kinds of meals and keep herself satisfied for days. And out she goes. As she walks, she notices the appearance of the statues. She's passed them on her way to work before, but they've always been in the same place. Unless someone is moving them, or replacing them with ones with different positions, they're moving on their own
