Mainly because he just woke up an hour or so beforehand, due to late night rooftop stalking. Just as he is about to set the bowl down on the table, he winces. Desmond raises his hand

[ Kaylee doesn't like what she sees and she acts on impulse - out the door and heading upstairs before she can even think. She looks a sight as she knocks on the door, wearing everything that had been within reach. Flowered short dress, combat boots, a long sleeved shirt instead of a jacket and a hoodie scarf - bright green - wrapped haphazardly around her neck. ]

Desmond? Sweetie? Are ya all right?
